Hollywood Land is California Adventure’s living movie set. You’ll see painted backdrops, false buildings, even a few soundstages. And no backlot would be complete without its own water tower. You’ll find it in the backlot section of the land, to the right of Monsters, Inc.

The Hollywood Water Tower draws inspiration from those located on famous studio backlots, including:

Hollywood Land’s water tower helps create the illusion of forced perspective in the land. You can’t see the base of it from most vantage points, so it looks like the land’s studios and pathways wind much further back than they do. The tower’s small size also helps create the illusion of its distance. The tower proves that even the tiniest details in the park put stories together; each piece of the puzzle works together to create a larger whole.
