May 2019 – present
LOCATION
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities sits at the top of the main Galaxy’s Edge staircase, overlooking the Millennium Falcon area. To find the shop from the Frontierland entrances, head left until you see the staircase on your right. Climb the stairs and you’ll see the Den on your right, across the walkway from Docking Bay 7. If you’re coming from the Critter Country entrance, keep right along the path past the marketplace. You’ll see the stairs on your left.
EXPERIENCE
Details:
- Merchandise – phone cases, apparel, accessories
- Price Range – huge range, cheaper items under $20, with collectibles $100+
- Unique Features – Dok-Ondar animatronic
You never know what treasures you’ll find in Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities. Dok-Ondar collects items from around the galaxy, bringing them back to his Den for other collectors to admire and purchase. Don’t forget to look up when you visit – the walls are covered with treasures that aren’t for sale, from Taun-Taun heads to the finest space helmets.
SHOPPING TIPS
This shop’s crowd levels tend to reflect the general crowding of Disneyland. When the park’s crowded, you’ll find a lot of people shuffling through the shop. On quieter days, you’ll have plenty of room to roam around. I don’t have any specific shopping tips here, except that it’s worth visiting even if you don’t want a souvenir – just to see the massive collection along the walls!
TRIVIA
If you don’t want to spend the money on a lightsaber at the Workshop, you can purchase Kyber Crystals at the Den of Antiquities and still take home a piece of jedi lore.
I love that this shop is full of little easter eggs here and there. However I am super bummed they removed the Ark!! It was my absolute favorite hidden gem!
They removed it?!?!?! NOOOOOO!!!
