Main Street USA might just have the most hidden gems of any land at the resort. From the windows above your eye line to details at your feet, you’re completely engulfed by Imagineering magic with every step. One of my favorite little details can be found outside the Disneyland Emporium: The Windows of Enchantment.

Windows of Enchantment

Sometimes referred to as the “Enchanted Windows” or “Animated Windows”, these special spaces date back to the 1960s. Periodically, the number of windows and scenes change, but the goal is always the same: to transform into scenes from classic Disney animations, complete with music, special effects, and some movement.

Windows of Enchantment

Right now there are six windows, last updated in 2015 for the Diamond Jubilee:

  • Peter Pan
  • Cinderella
  • Frozen
  • Princess and the Frog
  • Toy Story
  • Aladdin

While the Windows of Enchantment are viewable from park open to close, I highly recommend stopping by after dark. The lighting just adds something special to each scene, and they really stand out without glare from the sun.

Windows of Enchantment

As a Frozen devotee, I must confess that this forest scene is my favorite!
