January 2019 – present
LOCATION
Downtown Disney – Ballast Point overlooks Downtown Disney’s central circular courtyard. If you’re coming from the parks side, keep to the right along the main walkway. You’ll see the red doors on the right, just after Wetzel’s Pretzels. If you’re coming from the hotels side, keep to the left. The restaurant occupies the second floor of the rounded building, and you’ll see the doors just beyond Uva Bar‘s patio.
EXPERIENCE
Details:
- Service Type – table service
- Seating – open bar room
- Reservations – yes
- Entertainment – none
- Menu
Dine, drink, and people-watch…if that sounds like an ideal afternoon for you, head over to Ballast Point. Downtown Disney’s brewery sits above the central walkway, and serves a sizable menu of beers, wines, and sharable comfort food. You don’t have to be 21 to visit, so the whole family can enjoy the open bar room together.
MY RATING: ★★★★☆
The brewing company is a really nice place to enjoy some beer and snacks in Downtown Disney, even if you have little ones in your crew. The nearby Uva Bar is slightly better in my opinion, since it’s outside and has larger menus for both drinks and food. But if you’re really into beer, Ballast Point is the best bar in the district!
MY FAVORITES
I’m not really a beer drinker, so my favorites here are food items!
- Parmesan & garlic fries
- Caramelized onion & 4 cheese flatbread
- “Victory at Sea” s’mores
