February 1990 – May 2010

LOCATION

Disneyland Hotel – Hookโ€™s Pointe was tucked away in the Disneyland Hotel, overlooking the Never Land Pool area. Today, the whole pool area and dining area has been reworked to create the current pool footprint and the building housing Trader Sam’s and Tangaroa Terrace.

EXPERIENCE

Hookโ€™s Pointe offered an open, a casual dining experience alongside the pool.ย A giant map of Neverland covered the ceiling, and some of the tables directly overlooked the pools – so the restaurant’sย Peter Pan theming subtly continued throughout.

CLOSURE

Despite the restaurant serving as a fan favorite, the Disneyland Hotel grounds went through extensive renovations in 2010. The pool area completely transformed, and the restaurants in the area took on a tiki theme. Tangaroa Terrace roughly takes up Hook’s Pointe’s former footprint within the grounds.

TRIVIA

Kids dining at Hookโ€™s Pointe were given light-up straws with figurines of Captain Hook in red or Tinkerbell in green.

In case it wasn’t obvious, Hook’s Pointe took its name from Captain Hook ofย Peter Pan!
