If you’re visiting the Disneyland Resort between January 17 and February 9, you’re in for a treat. California Adventure will be hosting its Lunar New Year 2020 festival, with tons of food, fun, and special merchandise for visitors.
Special entertainment:
- Hurry Home – a bonus prelude to World of Color. This water show, on Paradise Bay, follows a lantern’s journey to find its family for the new year.
- Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession – a parade in Paradise Gardens Park. The parade features Mulan, Mushu, Chinese dancers, martial artists, and drummers.
- Varied performances from Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese dance/music groups

Between shows and character meetups, be sure to visit the marketplace. You’ll find snack stands with Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese menu items; craft, calligraphy, and face painting tables; and exclusive Lunar New Year merchandise including spirit jerseys, ears, and bobble-heads. Like at the Food & Wine Festival, you’ll have the option to purchase a Sip and Savor pass for easy snacking if you plan to visit every booth. And when you’re done, don’t forget to take a moment and place a wish on the Lucky Wishing Wall!
