Oswald's Tires

June 2012 – present

LOCATION

Buena Vista Street – When the street opens into its first courtyard, just beyond the gates, visitors will notice an old-fashioned gas station on the left side of the plaza. This is Oswald’s Tires; walk under the car port and you’ll see the entrance.

EXPERIENCE

Details:

  • Merchandise – ear hats, pins, stickers, small accessories
  • Price Range – most items under $30, with a few pricier hats and collectibles
  • Unique Features – Oswald themed gas pumps, oil cans, and vintage car supplies & tools

As you arrive or depart Buena Vista Street, you may need to make a quick shopping pit stop. Oswald’s Tires offers visitors a decent selection of ear bands, hats, stickers, car decals, pins…anything you can take with you on the go. If you don’t feel much like shopping, you can still check out the vintage car parked out front – only glamorous vehicles allowed on Buena Vista Street!

SHOPPING TIPS

Virtually everything in Oswald’s Tires is also for sale in nearby shops on Buena Vista Street. This shop’s unique look makes for an awesome photo op, but it’s not one of the land’s better stores. I’d only recommend stopping here if you want an inexpensive souvenir without a big price tag. Otherwise, you’re better off shopping on the rest of the street, or hopping over to Downtown Disney or Main Street.

TRIVIA

This shop gets its name from Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Walt Disney’s first creation (even before Mickey!).

That gorgeous car out front? It’s a 1937 Packard Coupe. This car debuted the same year Disney premiered Snow White and the Seven Dwarves at the Carthay Circle Theater in Los Angeles.
