For many years, Disney World visitors had a special event we Disneylanders did not: an after-hours holiday party. These mysterious ticketed events taunted us from the east coast, but we were left out of the fun…until this year! For the first time, Disneyland is hosting Merriest Nites – and the west coasters can finally get in on the fun.
Just like Oogie Boogie Bash, Merriest Nites events will happen after park hours – so crowds will be smaller and attendees will have access to exclusive activities, merchandise, and entertainment. And like the Halloween bash, Merriest Nites will include lots of characters, music, and fun!
During Merries Nites, event attendees will be able to hop back and forth between 6 different themed parties happening within Disneyland:
- Main Street USA – Victorian themed party hosted by Mickey Mouse and the Muppets
- Adventureland – Tropical themed party hosted by Lilo & Stitch
- New Orleans Square – Bayou themed party hosted by Princess Tiana
- Frontierland – Navidad themed party hosted by Miguel
- Fantasyland – Winter wonderland themed party hosted by Queen Elsa
- Tomorrowland – Space themed party hosted by Buzz Lightyear
Each party will include photo op locations, character encounters, event-exclusive food and drinks, and a dance party. Visitors will also be able to ride attractions in these lands – but note: Mickey’s Toontown, Critter Country, and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be closed.
