Note: this post covers Disneyland’s refurbishment “season”, from January-March. For current scheduled closures, please visit here.
We’re just a few weeks away from an unofficial season in the Disneyland Resort’s calendar – refurbishment season. This is a period roughly from January through March where the resort stacks more ride closures than usual, since the post-holiday period tends to be slightly quieter than the rest of the year. While refurbishments and closures do happen all year long, this “season” has the largest impact.
Disneyland constantly changes, adds, and removes plans for attraction refurbishments, so this list will change frequently over the next few weeks. Disneyland rarely announces re-opening dates for longer refurbishments until shortly before the work is completed, so for now, you’ll see those dates marked as TBA (to be announced).
Don’t be discouraged by the list of refurbishments – this quiet period is one of my favorite times of year to visit the resort! Sure, some rides will be closed. But you’ll also experience shorter lines, magically foggy mornings, and less crowd congestion in the background of your photos.
