Hidden gems throughout Disneyland are nothing new. From the very first day of park operation to the latest reopenings post-refurbishment projects, park visitors are always finding new details hiding in plain sight. And in Galaxy’s Edge, there are tons to find.
Let’s take a look at one of my favorites: the Original Trilogy Boxes. This one sits on top of Docking Bay 7, but don’t walk directly up to this dining spot and expect to see it. Your view will be obstructed, looking like this:
Instead, I’d recommend heading to this spot right here:
You’ll be at the top of a staircase with a better vantage point of Docking Bay 7’s roof. Look straight ahead, and you’ll see three special boxes, numbered 77, 80, and 83.
These are the Original Trilogy Boxes, marking the years the original three Star Wars films were released:
- A New Hope (1977)
- The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
- Return of the Jedi (1983)
As you can see from my attempt above, spotting and capturing all three boxes is tricky. That’s one of the things I love most about the hidden gems scattered throughout the resort. So many are NOT obvious to spot, but Imagineers take the time to put them in anyway, just adding even more layers to the magic.
